“ Booked a reservation for our wedding anniversary here with the family. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating and they allow dogs out front as well! Parking is a little limited but it was still a great experience. The food here definitely stands out and we did not go hungry. Wife had a salmon Benedict and I chose the brisket Benedict, super good and mimosas to wash it all down. The real standout here was the churros inspired waffles, never had them this way but it was a great finisher to our brunch. Our server was really nice as well, Jeffrey I think his name was, very attentive and checked in regularly. Highly recommend you try this okay and book a reservation as weekend brunch can be BUSY. ”

“ First time here, visiting on a Sunday afternoon. It seems to be a very popular place. We were placed on a waitlist and told there was about a 25 minute wait, and were called back sooner than that. Our order was taken fairly quickly, and we waited about 15 minutes before our food arrived. I didn't take pictures because we were both so hungry, but I ordered the Holy Grail Morning panini which was recommended by our server, and it did not disappoint. The only thing I would change about that is removing the lettuce or adding it after because it was soggy and we all know soggy lettuce isn't appetizing. I give my meal a 5/5 as long as there is no soggy lettuce. My husband had The Hideout Burger, and was thrown off by the egg in it. He clearly failed to read there was an egg involved. He said the patty was seasoned well, he asked for the meat to be cooked medium rare, but it was medium well, and said that as a whole, the burger was a bland. The burger was served with some type of chipotle/mayo dipping sauce on the side which he then put in the burger and that elevated the taste some. My husband also would have preferred the buns to be toasted longer. He gives his meal a 3.5/5. Service was 5/5. Ambiance is 3.5/5 (it's a bit loud in there) ”

“ Hmm...where to start... I'll start by saying that I will definitely be coming back though my first visit was interesting. I went here with a small group for brunch. It started off with a weird interaction with the hostess. She wasn't that friendly and also gave us wrong information and menus. For example, she gave a kids menu but let us know it was just used for coloring and that none of the items were available to order from that menu. She also gave us mixture of brunch and dinner menus. Our server then came to the table and let us know that the child at our table could definitely order from the kids menu and he quickly gave us all brunch menus. Our server was very friendly and very honest. He forgot one of our drinks and one of our sides and one of our entrees. He could have easily made up an excuse as to why those items didn't come to the table, but he didn't. Thank goodness too as half of us have worked in the food industry and knew that he just forgot to bring coffee and put our orders in to the computer for the kitchen. It happens...it was busy and he was apologetic. All is well that ends well, right? Now the food...YUM! All of us enjoyed our meals. And on top of that...we all agreed that everything that came to the table looked delicious. Presentation, taste and quantity was all a 10 out of 10. I would say that the food made up for the hostess and the forgetfulness of the server. That doesn't always happen. The food is what will bring me back for another meal. As far as the ambience...we sat "outside". Normally I don't care to sit outside in the winter, but while we sat at our table, it was an enclosed patio with heat lamps. Sweet! They can open/roll up sides of the patio so it's not completely enclosed...they did that as we were leaving. The only thing I didn't care for was the amount of dogs I seemed to be surrounded by while I was there...dogs at almost every table around us...some barking and some shaking out their fur. So now that I know about the dog friendly patio, I will just request to sit inside in the future. Easy fix. ”

“ One of the best restaurants in Lafayette. My family has been coming here a long time and the new location is great for them. I recently came here for brunch with a couple of friends. I ordered the veggie eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. My friends got the breakfast burrito. Everything was delicious but the real winner was the ube pancakes we got for the table. The place was busy so make sure to make a reservation ”

I was surprised the restaurant was still so busy on a weekday so had high expectations. Porchetta & Polenta - ehhhh this was more no than yes for me. The crispy pork belly was almost inedible to us because it was so hard. We were almost unsure if it was a decorative part of the dish or meant to be eaten. However, the polenta, mushrooms and everything else was great. French onion soup - very rich and good! I'd definitely come back, but would probably order different items ”

“ We had reservations here for 11:00 am to celebrate our annual sister's holiday brunch. First time for all 8 of us eating at The Hideout Kitchen. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We made reservations for indoor not knowing what the weather would be but it turned out to be a beautiful day and could have enjoyed outdoor dining that day. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was superb. Lots of metered parking all around, we did see some cars that were ticketed so be sure you plug your meter! Everyone enjoyed their order and all agreed if we lived close we would definitely return to try some of the other entree selections. The restaurant got really crowded both indoors and outdoor. There was even a birthday party going on behind draped curtains that looked like 3 large tables so that would be nice to check out if you need a small gathering of maybe 25 to 30? Our waitress (she said her name was Jena) was excellent. Two of us split our orders so we could try two different items and the kitchen actually cut it in half and split the sides to serve it. What service, we just told them we were splitting and they went ahead and did it. Give this place a try. We think it's a gem! ”
